Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi was an unknown figure until a few years back. He used to work in the Auqaf Department of Government of Punjab. In his relatively unknown years, he also used to give Friday sermons in one of the mosques of Lahore. He came into the spotlight after speaking in the favor of Mumtaz Qadri, the gunman who killed the then Governor of Punjab, Salman Taseer. In return, Punjab government forcefully terminated his government job. Since, then, Khadim Hussain Rizvi became a blasphemy activist and has toured the length of Pakistan, gathering support and following everywhere.

Khadim Hussain Rizvi belong to District Attock of Punjab province in Pakistan. He is Hafiz-e-Quran and also has passed the Sheikh-ul-Hadith. He is fluent in Urdu, Punjabi and Persian languages. He has two sons. He is wheelchair bound due to a traffic accident and can not move without support.

Political Career of Khadim Hussain Rizvi
After becoming an active supporter of blasphemy law, Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi started becoming actively involved in the national politics through his party Tehreek Labaik Ya Rasool Allah and fielded his first candidate, Azhar Hussain, in the September 2017 by-elections of NA-120. The candidate against Kulsoom Nawaz Sharif and opened his election account by taking 7000 public votes.
In November, 2017 Khadim Hussain Rizvi organised a rally and sit-in (dharna) at Faizabad Interchange, Islamabad in protest against the tempering of blasphemy laws by the National Assembly of Pakistan. His initial demand was to sack the Minister of Justice, Zahid Hamid. The Islamabad High court then ordered the Government of Pakistan to act against the sit-in, the move resulted in violent clashes between the supporters of Khadim Hussain Rizvi and the security forces.
