Lahore: A 16-member team was formed for the arrest of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his grandmother, Mary Nawaz, who was convicted in the field-field referendum on Friday.
According to the sources, the team head of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will be appointed as Amjad Ali, 9 NAB officials and other police officers will be included in the team.
According to the sources, the team will arrest Nawaz Sharif and Mary Nawaz from Lahore Airport, DG NAB Lahore Shahzad Saleem will monitor all the proceedings.
According to sources, security officials in the NAB office have also been directed to stay alert.
Sources say that the NAB has arranged two helicopters and the cabinet division has allocated the NAB on Friday.
A helicopter will be erected on Lahore and second Islamabad airport, Nawaz Sharif and Mary Nawaz will be transferred to Adela jail by helicopter as soon as he comes to any airport.
It is believed that NAB had requested the Ministry of Interior for helicopters and due to lack of helicopters in the Ministry of Interior, the Cabinet Division gave allocated helicopters for the Prime Minister.
Sources say that Nawaz Sharif, the prime minister who used to be the helicopter, will take them to Adelaah.
It is believed that the accountability court on the e-field reference July 6 summoned former prime minister 11, Maryam Nawaz 8 and Captain (retired) Safdar for a year’s imprisonment.
Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law Mohammad Safdar has been arrested and transferred to Adela Jail, but his arrest has not been taken due to the presence of Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Mary Nawaz in London.
Nawaz Sharif has said in his recent press conference that now he will not step down to prison or hang on the way.
He said that I am coming to Pakistan by looking at the prison cell, even listening to that I will not come back, I am coming back to Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif said that the 25th election will be the biggest referendum, people should hear the decision on July 25 to make the world tribute.
